At Millstream cottages, the cleanliness of our cottages and quality of service is something we try hard to maintain. We look forward to welcoming both new and returning guests to our property.

 

Deposit and payment

A 25% deposit is paid when you book. The deposit can be made by credit card, or e-transfer. The Deposit must be received to confirm the booking. The remaining 75% of your reservation is due in full and will be taken off your card 14 days prior to your arrival. There is an administration fee of $25 plus taxes for any cancellation. If you cancel within 30 days of arrival the 25% deposit or 25% of any portion of the booking canceled will be non-refundable. Any cancellations within the 14 days of arrival are 100% non-refundable.

 

Cancellation or early departure

As we are a small business with a very short rental season, it is a big commitment for us to hold cottages for our guest bookings - we are oftentimes unable to fill cottages when cancellations are made. As such, we require ample notice for cancellations!

For all booking cancellations, a minimum of 30 days notice is required for a refund of the deposit payment, minus a $25.00 credit card processing fee. Deposits for Cancellations within 30 days of the booked stay are non-refundable. For a cancellation two weeks (14 days) prior to arrival, the entire amount of your stay will be charged to your card.

Please note that if you depart early there is no refund to your confirmed rate.

 

Check-in and check-out

Our check-in and registration hours are from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Please advise if you expect to arrive outside of these hours so we can make arrangements for your arrival. Check-out time is 10:00 am.

Pets

Dogs are welcome at millstream Cottages, with the following guidelines:

There is a maximum of 2 dogs per Cottage that are under 35lb or one dog up to 120lbs. Dogs are an additional $15 per dog, per night. All dogs are to be leashed at all times while visiting outside the cottages, and kept kennelled while left alone.  As well, dogs are not permitted on the furniture or in/on the beds

No dogs are permitted in the swimming pool or children’s play area.  You will be held financially responsible for any damages that may occur or if your dog leaves a mess that presents unpleasant odours or stains.

 

Non-smoking policy

 

Our cottages are completely smoke/drug-free. This includes tobacco products and marijuana (recreational and medicinal).  Tobacco is permitted out on the decks ONLY. If anyone is found to have smoked in the cottage, you will be charged a $200.00 cleaning fee.

 

damages & extra cleaning fees

 

During their stay in our cottages, guests are expected to respect and care for the property they are renting. Guests are responsible for any damages caused to the property, and Millstream Cottages reserves the right to charge a fee should any damage be discovered after a guest’s stay. Regular wear and tear of our cottages is completely expected, and in almost all cases, guests are never charged. However, in cases where our cottages have been left in a state of excessive disarray requiring extensive cleaning, or damage has been made to items that will require repair or replacement of said items, guests will be held financially responsible.

 

As of 2019, PEI National Parks no longer allow National Park Passes to be transferred or shared. As such, Millstream Cottages is regrettably no longer able to lend out passes as done in previous years. Currently, there are discussions of allowing cottage operators to offer park passes to guests at discounted rates upon check-in. We will keep you updated on developments as we learn more.

Parking


Each cottage is allowed a maximum of 2 vehicles.  We have available on-site parking for visitors.

We do not allow tents, or trailers to be parked on site.

 

For insurance purposes, visitors must register upon arrival in our office. Visitors must leave the property by 10:00pm and may not stay overnight.
